GET WILD! with your grandchild

Restore The Boise River Habitat With Us!

Our May restoration day will be an outdoor-centered event for grandparents and their grandchildren to build deeper connections with nature and each other.

The Program & Education Specialist for Ada County Parks & Waterways will kick off the event by educating everyone on invasive species and native birds. Don't forget your binoculars! The group will be doing gardening tasks such as planting seedlings, placing mulch, weeding, and watering.

We have partnered with a OneStone student as she completes her nine-month design thinking project dedicated to bringing more awareness around nature deficit disorder and how it impacts the mental and physical health of young kids and seniors. The project goal is to get more children and their grandparents outside together! We are also welcoming any other adult(s) that would like to join. Register below.

About Boise River ReWild Project:

The Boise River is the living breathing heart of Boise with over 150,000 people connecting to nature in this amazing place every year! With 95% of our classes taking place along the Boise River, we seek to protect it now and into the future.

Planting days will be focused on caring for the land to ensure it is healthy and thriving. Supplies will be provided, but bringing your own is also encouraged if you have them. Please bring your own snacks and water!
