Growing up in Denver amongst the Rocky Mountains, Taylor has always been a lover of the outdoors. She graduated from college with a BA in Secondary Education and joined EverWild to be part of the movement to help shift perspectives from a test/achievement-driven society to one based in nurturing intrinsic motivation through empathy and mentorship. She has quickly become a beloved teacher through her natural ability to meet kids where they’re at. Her students love her ability to be both silly and a calm listener as she guides them through their learning journey. Taylor moved to Boise in 2015 and joined when EverWild started. When she's not teaching kids in the great outdoors, you can find her playing with her children, hiking in the mountains, or reading a good book.

Caroline Haack
-
Caroline grew up in upstate Corning, New York, generally surrounded by the attitude that winters were for staying inside & hunkering down. Her outlook on the cold months & ‘bad weather’ totally shifted after ski instructing in eastern Idaho & getting lost on quiet, powder-filled trails, reminiscent of Narnia. She’s currently a senior Environmental Science major at Boise State interested in urban planning / walkable cities & the mental health benefits of reconnecting to nature. Outside of schoolwork, she loves to bike as her main form of transportation, walk dogs (especially golden retrievers), run, climb, & help organize events for Backcountry Squatters, a women & non-binary outdoors club.
Caroline is constantly thinking about how her college education can be better designed for each student and hopes to bring that mindset into her EverWild classes!
