News from the Wild: Camps and More!

Hello EverWild Families!

This week, we have an exciting event happening in the night sky - the Full Moon in January, also known as the Wolf Moon. Have you ever wondered how Full Moons get their names? Well, we'll be pondering that question together this week. And to make things even more interesting, we'll be diving deep into the world of wolves! We'll explore their fascinating social behaviors, and their tight-knit packs, and even take a closer look at their physical attributes and how perfectly suited they are for their incredible abilities. It's time to debunk the myth of the Big Bad Wolf - wolves are essential to our ecosystems. I can already hear the howls of excitement from our kids as they prepare to learn all about these magnificent creatures!

Parent Tip of the Week

Thank you all for your incredible patience and understanding over the past few weeks with all these cancellations due to icy roads and those pesky high AQIs. But seriously, does it feel like Winter Break never actually ended? Like your kids are always home, constantly bored, and driving you up the wall!? We get it, many of us at EverWild are parents too! Parenting is a rollercoaster, with its ups and downs. And let's be honest, being cooped up at home all this time is starting to feel a bit, well, struggling. But hey, let's take a page from our own parenting book and show ourselves some love and compassion during this challenging time! Remember, this won't last forever, and we'll soon return to smooth sailing. You know how we always tell our little ones that they can conquer tough challenges? Well, guess what? We can too! We've got this in the bag. And hey, don't forget that everything just seems better when you step outside. So even if we have more cancellations (fingers crossed we won’t!), make it a point to get out there, explore the neighborhood, have some fun in the yard, and enjoy some quality time without those confining walls around you and your kids!

Congratulations, Sierra!

We're thrilled to announce that Sierra, one of our past interns, has graduated from BSU. Her capstone presentation, "Exploring the Identity of EverWild Forest School," delved into perspectives from students, parents, teachers, and administrators, uncovering the unique essence of EverWild.

Sierra's dedication and thoughtful approach have enriched our understanding of EverWild's identity. Join us in congratulating Sierra on her achievement and wishing her success in future endeavors.
