Adventurers
Drop-off early learning program for ages 4-6yrs
Program Summary
Play-Based Learning for a Wild and Wonder-Filled Childhood.
In our Adventurers program, children build foundational academic and social-emotional skills through hands-on outdoor learning experiences designed for early childhood.
Through seasonal, place-based themes in our riparian forest setting, Adventurers explore science, art, storytelling, natural history, and early math concepts through movement, play, guided discovery, and meaningful experiences in nature. Each week balances structured learning with imaginative exploration, giving children the freedom to climb trees, build forts, jump in muddy puddles, and truly savor their childhood.
Because our themes rotate each year, returning students continue to be challenged while new students are welcomed and supported at their level.
In Adventurers, students develop:
Foundational academics through hands-on learning
Curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills
Social-emotional growth and collaboration
Early outdoor and wilderness skills
Confidence, independence, and resilience
Imagination through storytelling, art, and free play

What Parents Are Saying
“Children have a chance to immerse themselves in lessons pertaining to our natural resources. They can be creative, ask questions, and move freely throughout class -- all while outdoors. Sunshine provides our child with so many benefits -- and frequently comes home in a better mood. ”
“It's a wonderful experience for a child! Kids have the opportunity to detach from screens and wander in streams. We are so fortunate to live in a place where EverWild is an option.”
“Forest school is a great way of getting kids outside in all sorts of weather, and allowing them to explore the local environment. They learn about local fauna and flora from direct observations. The small group size allow the kids to make strong connections with their peers and teachers.”
