Program Summary

Sprout Scouts is a nature-based caregiver-and-child class for children ages 18 months to 4.5 years led by an experienced outdoor educator. Each session includes thoughtfully guided activities such as songs, stories, seasonal nature crafts, sensory experiences, movement, and hands-on exploration designed to support early childhood development through meaningful experiences in nature.

While children and caregivers will also have time for free play and discovery, the class follows a gentle rhythm and intentional curriculum that is adapted to the ages and developmental stages of the children in attendance each day.

Program Details

  • Summer Session

    Our Summer Session runs from the week of June 1 through the week of August 31.

    We offer flexible multi-class punch cards that can be used at any time throughout the Summer Session at one of our two locations:

    East Boise: Thursdays, 10:00 - 11:15 AM

    Eagle: Wednesdays, 10:00 - 11:15 AM

    School Year Session (September-May)

    Our school year session runs month-to-month from the week of September 1 through the week of May 31.

    Our school year schedule is posted in mid-summer.

  • Summer Session (June-August)

    Punch cards are offered during the summer months for maximum flexibility.

    • 4-Class Punch Card:
      $75 first child | $25 siblings

    • 8-Class Punch Card:
      $144 first child | $50 siblings

    • 12-Class Punch Card:
      $207 first child | $75 siblings

    Punch cards may be used anytime throughout the summer session.

    School Year Session (September-May)

    Ongoing month-to-month enrollment.

    • Monthly Tuition: $75/month

  • Each Sprout Scouts class follows a gentle and predictable rhythm designed to help young children feel comfortable, engaged, and connected to the natural world. Classes typically begin with a welcome circle featuring songs, movement, and an introduction to the day’s theme, followed by a guided nature-based activity such as a story, craft, sensory invitation, or seasonal exploration led by an educator. Families then have time for child-led play and outdoor discovery, allowing children to explore at their own pace while caregivers support their curiosity and independence. Classes close with a simple gathering activity such as a story, reflection, bubbles, or a goodbye song before heading home.
